    I have a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from SUNY Buffalo, with 19 years of clinical experience (12 years post-licensure); member of APA (American Psychological Association) since 1997.  I am an author of 6 mindfulness-based self-help books (several of which have been translated into Dutch and Chinese).  

    I am on the Advisory Board for the London Mindfulness Center (UK).

    I have trained and worked in a variety of clinical settings, which include: psychiatric hospitals, university counseling center, county jail, hospice, community mental health centers, family medical practice, cancer hospital, veterans' hospitals, pain clinics, and private practice.

    Treatment Modalities:

    I offer fast-paced individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, and process-focused group therapy.  I do not offer Family Therapy (parents + children).  I only work with adults (21+ years of age). 

    Clinical Background:

    I offer an eclectic treatment approach that consists of: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Meta-Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectic and Behavioral Therapy, Logotherapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Brief-Dynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).
