Workshop Title: Mindfulness Meditation Made Simple
Workshop description: You will learn about how to use mindfulness-based meditation to manage anxious worry and depressive rumination and dwelling. Additionally, you will be presented with a combination of mindfulness and breath-focus to facilitate stress management and craving control. You will be also offered a discussion of how mindfulness meditation can be used to explore your sense of self and identity. Finally, the workshop will offer habit-formation tips to help you establish a meditation practice. The workshop will utilize an original "Dots and Spaces" approach to teaching mindfulness meditation described in Pavel Somov's self-help books. The workshop consists of a series of brief discussions and accompanying mini-meditations. I (P.S.) hope you will find this training to be both relaxing and intriguing. The workshop is an educational/experiential event and is not intended as a substitute for mental health treatment.
